Game Won. On to the Cup

I attended the 912 Project Meeting at the Salmon Falls Church on Salmon Falls Road in Rochester, New Hampshire tonight where United States Representative Frank Guinta was the guest.  Frank was taking a lot of heat from people for voting for the Debt Ceiling Deal.  He had a few people go out of their way to encourage him, and he received good support for his overall performance this year, however the heat was on for Frank’s voting for the Debt Ceiling Deal.  Most were opining that it would have been better to vote the Debt Ceiling Down and not pay the bills.

I had my hand up but like many didn’t get a chance to do a question even though they ran it another 1/2 hour beyond the planned end time.

I am even more convinced that Republicans can’t see the victory, aren’t enjoying the victory, and are having way too much fun going cannibalistic savaging each other than focusing on the vision and doing the work to gain a Republican Senate and Presidency.

There is way too much discord since we didn’t get a shutout and win The Stanley Cup all in one game.  This was a major win, again as Pat Buchanan noted in his Day of the Hobbits piece and former New Hampshire State Senator George Lovejoy noted on Saturday at the Tea Party event in Barrington, New Hampshire.

This bit about we should have closed our eyes, closed our ears, and damned the torpedoes in voting the deal down and not paying our bills reminds me of those just learning to play hockey who keep their head down and look at the puck all the time.  Sure you can keep better control of the puck when that’s all you look at if nobody else is around.  But there are others around in a hockey game and they will swoop in and scoop up the puck from you easily when your head is down.  You won’t see them coming.

It’s much better to keep your head up and see the whole sheet of ice with all the players and watch the puck through your peripheral vision.  You can move the puck forward more and get knocked down less.  In fact it is one of my favorite taunts tossed around, “Keep your head up!” with the unsaid follower being that I am out to cream you.

We need to keep our head up in a number of ways.  First, we have to stay positive.  Second, we have to realize that we need to sell this to everyone.  We need more than committed conservatives to see the beauty, simplicity, and efficacy of the Vision Course.  Staying positive will help us sell this.  Third, we have to keep our head up to the reality of the situation on the sheet of ice we are on.  Although we wanted in the worst way what Frank cosponsored, the Cut, Cap, and Balance Bill HR 2560, IE The Stanley Cup, we have to start with this first big win that is the Debt Ceiling Deal.

As many parts that there are about this Debt Ceiling Deal that we Republicans don’t like, the Democrats like it less.  We won, they lost.

It is now onto the next step of selling all of our Citizenry on the mutual benefit of engendering a vibrant, growing, bustling, economic environment sufficiently.  If we keep the vision, do the work, and sell this Vision Course, everyone wins.  Fear, Fragmentation, and Isolation are Flushed down the toilet.  A vibrant and growing economic scene is fostered by adding oxygen to the mix by removing stifling, snuffing, overtaxation and overspending.  Enough of Stimulus!  We need Oxygen!  Revenues to the treasury actually increases with the lower taxes due to Increased Volume.   People become in demand from expanding businesses instead of stomping and demanding assistance.  It is much more holistically healthy.

As Frank correctly noted over and over, the Vital Ingredients for achieving this Stanley Cup of a Vibrant Nation are  for us to gain a Conservative Republican President and a Conservative Republican Senate.  There were others around that Frank was dealing with during this game.  The solution is not to take out Frank, the good player.  The solution is to get more good players.

So Keep Your Head Up, Smile, Enjoy, Sell, and Work.

Enjoy Victory, Keep the Vision, Take Heart, Back to Work

At Dante’s in Barrington, New Hampshire yesterday I was able to hear a number of stump speeches.  Two presidential candidates, Buddy Roemer and Gary Johnson got up and spoke well.  Ovide Lomantagne running for New Hampshire Governor and Hony Puterbaugh running for a vacant New Hampshire House seat also did a nice job.

The one though that caught my ear most was former New Hampshire State Senator George Lovejoy.  He echoed my thoughts exactly and referred a number of times to an article that Pat Buchanan wrote about this entitled The Day of the Hobbits.

While many are clamoring that we were let down by the newly elected United States Congresspeople when they voted for the debt ceiling agreement, I find it to be a victory.  The current president wanted to raise the debt ceiling with no strings attached.  He lost that.  There are equal cuts to the amount that the debt is raised.  Then he wanted to raise the debt ceiling with an agreement to raise tax rates.  He lost that too.

As I mentioned in an earlier article, there is quite a bit of momentum in this train and it will take some time to turn it.  We must take a breath and Enjoy the Victory.  Then we need to keep the vision, recognize the reality of the situation, and not go cannibalistic and devour ourselves in self destruction since we didn’t gain the whole gold ring on the first pass.  We have slowed the train and to get the course properly directed, we need to elect more Conservative Republican Congresspeople and Senators as well as a President.  We must not savage the newly elected Conservative Republicans and through them out.  We need to thank them on a great victory, encourage them, support them, and set about the work of gaining additional seats.  Senator George Lovejoy said it so well and he is not running.  I’m glad he had the opportunity to speak.

Republicans have a long history of self destructing from infighting and things are way too important and fragile to let that history repeat itself.

The vision is to rely and align with our Loving Creator, to Kindle the Economy by keeping taxes low, and to thus create a demand for people from the resultant thriving businesses in lieu of having people stomping and demanding help.  Thus opportunities, vibrancy, and growth will flourish for all of our citizens.

None of this is going to be easy.

We have to get up early, say our prayers, open our ears, open our hearts, seek God’s will, and work industriously.

Through it all we need to personalize and Love All People.  For us to succeed in regaining a vibrant, bustling, flourishing nation we need to sell as many people as we can on the vision and the course.  We need to sell not only to the Republican Conservatives, we need to sell to all Republicans, all Democrats, all Independents, and all Citizens.  We need the numbers to get the representatives and we need all of our Citizens to fully buy into the Vision & Course, or let’s call it “Vision Course.”  The seemingly fun thing of trashing others is other than optimal.  It will leave us shy of the votes and numbers of elected officials we need and it will leave us shy of the Citizens that we need to buy into this.  This will all take work and participation from everyone.

We are mandated in Romans 12 to Love and Pray for all.

I’m a hockey player.  After the hardest fought games we all shake hands and hang out after and socialize.

We know where the other courses lead from looking at the challenges of other nations that have pursued those.

Take Heart, Smile, Pursue the Vision Course, and Sell the Vision Course.
